Dr. William Byron Barber of Greensboro, NC has been in practice for 18 years and is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Barber has also been voted Top Surgeon 5 years running by the Research Council of America. Dr. Barber was contacted by this patient who wanted to trim her midsection, Dr. Barber suggested a Tummy Tuck procedure to even out the woman’s figure. Tummy Tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove the excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen. In addition the abdominal muscles can be tightened at the same time as the removal of the excess skin. The surgery takes about 2 to 3 hours to perform. The procedure results in a flatter and trimmer abdomen as is apparent in this patient’s tummy tuck before and after photos.
