This Birmingham liposuction patient illustrates when liposuction can be very effective and a tummy tuck is not needed. Dr. William Hedden gave this woman Birmingham liposuction of the abdomen and flanks to remove small pockets of fat that simple diet and excerise could not eliminate. Her before and after photos show that she had a small pouch on her abdomen that needed treatment. In this case, liposuction was appropriate instead of tummy tuck because the pouch was small and her skin was elastic enough to pull back into place once Dr. Hedden used liposuction to remove the excess fat. Dr. Hedden is located in Birmingham Alabama.
