Twin Cannula-Assisted Liposuction

The Skinny on Twin Cannula Assisted Liposuction (TCAL)

A twin cannula is a tube within a hollow tube so that the cannula which is responsible for the ridding of fat, does not impact the mechanically reciprocated inner cannula which stimulates your plastic surgeon’s stroke. This successfully removes most of the labor involved in liposuction surgery. Superficial or subdermal liposuction occurs without the cannulas getting hot, due to the spacing effect of the outer cannula. The result is less burning and scarring.

Tools used in Twin Cannula Assisted Liposuction Surgery

Twin cannulas can stimulate a surgeon’s stroke of up to 5 cm (2 inches) which is significantly more than just a merely vibrating 1-2 mm (1/4 inch) s do the other power-assisted devices. This is a cannula inside a hollow cannula - both of which interact together, but perform different movements--one extracts and one probes.
