Dr. Grady Core

Dr. Core was born and raised in Arkansas and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. He stayed in Fayetteville to attend medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After medical school, Dr. Core completed training in general surgery in New York City at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, which is an affiliate of Einstein University.

Dr. Core moved to Tulsa, OK, to practice general surgery where he also taught at Oral Roberts University. After developing an interest in plastic surgery, he trained at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, before moving to Birmingham, AL, to work as a clinical instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For a time, he moved to New Orleans to serve as Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ocshner Clinic. He then returned to Birmingham permanently in 1996.

Dr. Core is credited as a co-developer of endoscopic techniques in plastic surgery. He was invited to be a member of the prestigious American Association of Plastic Surgeons, which is a peer-selected honor society limited to 300 members worldwide. Members of this society are selected on the basis of making a “significant contribution to the field of plastic surgery.” As such, he has been invited to speak at national universities such as Temple and NYU, as well as locations in continents around the world (Australia, South America and Europe). Dr. Core has all also been named as one of the “Best Doctors in the U.S.: Southeast Region” and “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare”.
