Dr. J. A. Coffey

Dr. Coffey graduated medical school (Baylor College of Medicine) in 1984. He then finished 6 years of general surgery residency and passed the General Surgery Boards in 1994. His plastic surgery residency was completed in 2 years at Baylor College of Medicine, known in the US as one of the best plastic surgery training schools. In 1993, he was a Microsurgery Fellow at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX for 1 year. It was there he primarily performed  breast surgery, generally 4-6 operations weekly.

Born in Denton,TX, he decided to come back to his roots and open up his practice in August of 1994. His thriving practice is centered within a growing community of 80,000 – many of whom he services and helps with body image each decade. Dr. Coffey performs between two and three implant procedures per week.

Dr. Coffey
 is board certified in plastic surgery. He is also a part of the highly esteemed – Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and AMA as well as the Texas Medical Association and Denton County Medical Society.

Dr. Coffey is extremely achieved in his community and supports several high schools who are interested in medicine to Dr. Coffey‘s office for up to 3-month rotations. Dr. Coffey also works with a church in Denton,TX and coordinates a medical mission trip to Mexico. He helps with reconstructive procedures and specializes in helping the underprivileged children or adults who suffer from birth defects.
