This is a tough one to answer since the cost varies significantly depending upon the area of the country you are in and the number of areas to be liposuctioned. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average surgeon's fee in 2009 was about $2,800 for suction assisted liposuction and $3,100 for ultrasound assisted liposuction (UAL). The surgeon's fee does not include hospital or anesthesia charges. The average fees vary depending upon your geographic location. Some states have much lower than average fees/costs, while others have much higher than average fees/costs. Your best bet is to make some calls to the offices of some plastic surgeons you are considering so that you'll have an idea of costs in your area.
2. If I am having more than lipo in more than one site, so I multiply the single site cost by the number of areas?:
Generally, no. Additional areas do not generally result in "multiplicative costs". If you are having three sites done, don't expect the cost to be three times the single site cost. It's usually less, often quite a bit less.
