About Dr. Churukian

Education

Dr. Churukian holds dual-board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in General Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His 5 years of General Surgery residency at UCSF, San Joaquin Valley, included a year as chief resident in Trauma and General Surgery. He completed his training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Louisville where his extensive experience in reconstructive techniques encompassed Microsurgery and Facial Restoration. Dr. Churukian holds specialized credentials in Hand and Microsurgery from the internationally renowned Kutz & Kleinert and Joseph Boyes Hand Surgery Programs.

In addition to cosmetic surgeries, Dr. Churukian is a trauma surgeon for the neighboring hospitals and maintains an ongoing commitment to providing breast reconstruction to cancer patients throughout the Bay Area.

Dr. Churukian is active in the community and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Santa Clara County Medical Association.

Dr. Churukian holds privileges for plastic and reconstructive surgery at all the major accredited hospitals and surgery centers in the Los Gatos and San Jose, California, areas.
