At the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, the patient is our priority - indeed our only priority. Whether you come into our offices for cosmetic surgery or reconstructive surgery, our first step is to sit down with you to discuss your objectives and all the factors involved in your decision.
We cover the surgery itself. We study your overall health. We outline the discomfort you may experience; the financial considerations and a variety of many important topics.
The point is, before we begin any procedure, we work to assure that you feel comfortable with your decision and know exactly what to expect. Establishing such a comfort level not only helps you with the decision-making process but also helps you in dealing with the surgery. An optimistic and healthy psychological outlook is very important to the well being of patients and we work hard to establish such a psychological state.

About Dr. Hardaway
Education
- B.S.: University of Michigan
- M.D.: Wayne State University School of Medicine
- General Surgery Residency: North Shore University Hospital, an affiliate of Cornell Medical Center, New York
- Plastic Surgery Residency: Nassau County Medical Center, New York
Dr. Hardaway is an assistant clinical professor of surgery in Wayne State’s department of plastic and reconstructive surgery. She also was chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Detroit’s Receiving Hospital and director of its burn center.
Dr. Hardaway is affiliated with several major hospitals in the Detroit metropolitan area, including Beaumont Hospital, Providence Hospital and Harper Hospital.
She is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, as well as a certified general surgeon, holding medical licenses in Michigan and New York.
She has won several honors in the medical profession; tutored at the University of Michigan and Wayne State; trained plastic surgery residents at Wayne State and Providence Hospital; and has published papers as well as lectured on a variety of issues related to general, plastic and reconstructive surgery.
