Dr. Vasko graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1986. She completed 4 years of general surgery and 2 years of plastic surgery residency at the OSU Hospitals.

She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is from Sylvania, OH and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Ohio State before entering medical school.

"Our group's philosophy is to give advice on things that are truly beneficial to the patient," explains Dr. Vasko. "We don't jump on bandwagon of every new technique that comes along. There are so many ads for new things that will only last a year or two because they don't come through on their promise. As a group, we think critically about each new approach."

That same critical thinking is needed each time a surgeon determines which methods will best meet the goals of a specific patient. "We see such a variety of patients and case situations," she says. "Each case requires a unique approach. I was an engineering undergrad, so I am a problem solver by nature."

Dr. Heck attended the Medical College of Ohio, where he graduated with honors in 1995. He then completed four years of general surgery residency at the Medical College of Ohio prior to finishing his plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

After residency, Dr. Heck then completed a fellowship in Aesthetic and Laser Surgery at the University of Southern California. He is from the Toledo, Ohio area. In 2002, Dr. Heck found an ideal setting for his expert skills at Columbus Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Inc. His practice has seen amazing growth since that time. In 2004, Dr. Heck won The Prism Award for his excellence in breast surgery.

Dr. Wakelin graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2000. He completed 3 years of surgery residency at Mt. Carmel Medical Center before completing 2 additional years of plastic surgery residency at Ohio State.

Dr. Wakelin is a native of Sylvania, Ohio and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Philosophy from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. 

Additionally, Dr. Wakelin is enthusiastic about his work with numerous charity organizations. His missions with Operation Smile, an internationally respected charity, have taken him to developing countries like Honduras, Paraguay, Nicaragua, and Peru, where he performed reconstructive surgery on children and adults with cleft lips and palates. While discussing these activities, Dr. Wakelin states, "I feel a strong sense of responsibility to use my talents and training to help others in my community as well as other regions of the world."

Dr. Treece has had a lifelong interest in the visual arts. As a board-certified plastic surgeon in Columbus, OH, he has spent the last 16 years delivering state of the art plastic and reconstructive surgery to his patients. A cofounder of Columbus Aesthetic & Plastic Surgery, Dr. Treece was named the top cosmetic surgeon in Central Ohio in a recent doctor's "Docs rate Docs" survey of physicians in Columbus.

He has received many awards including an outstanding teaching award from plastic surgery residents at Ohio State University. He was also recognized by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons for his work with The Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation. In addition, he has been a recipient of Consumer's Choice Awards for America's Best Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Treece has dedicated his career toward providing the most meticulous technically precise procedures especially toward facial surgery and aesthetic and breast cancer reconstructive surgery. His artistic background only enhances the quality of patient outcomes. Facial rejuvenation is a huge part of his practice and Dr. Treece has a special interest in providing reshaping and breast enhancement.

He has been distinguished by The Allergan Corporation (makers of BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM®) as a member of The National Council of Leaders in Breast Aesthetics. Dr. Treece has been involved in Interplast which provides care to children in third world countries for facial cleft lip and palate repair. He is constantly attending continuing education courses as an associate clinical member of the faculty at The Ohio State University and enjoys his ongoing relationship with the residents and the development of new advanced surgical techniques.
