Liposuction is the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedure in the United States. The procedure is designed to remove pockets of fat permanently, although it is not a substitute for weight reduction. Dr. Fater is able to use liposuction in conjunction with other procedures such as abdominoplasty, facelift, breast augmentation, etc.

Dr. Fater also performs abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). This procedure removes excess fat and skin from the abdomen region, and also tightens the abdominals. A long lower abdominal incision is made, and the rectus muscles are tightened. The excess skin is then removed leaving the abdomen with a more aesthetic contour. This surgery is usually performed in a hospital operating room under general anesthesia.
